Orange Care is the flagship app of Mauritius Telecom’s Orange brand. It serves as a collection of useful phone numbers ranging from businesses, to emergency contacts like the police or fire services, or even the various offices of the government. It will potentially make your phone book obsolete.
How to Use
Orange Care is quite straightforward in it’s usability. The opening screen is provides you with a quick search method by picking the service you want to look up, and then the region. A list will then populate in the remaining space. You may also do a search like you would on Google, and the app will look inside Orange’s database.
If you would like a more in-depth search, tap on the four horizontal lines in the top left of the screen to open up new categories. In there you will find Yellow Pages, Emergency Listings, International Dial Codes, and more.
Why I Recommend it
Orange Care is an easy sell (don’t worry, it’s completely free). You might find you need to use Yellow Pages very rarely, if at all, but it’s undeniable that having all those numbers just a few taps away can save you a lot of hassle. It makes searching for numbers a breeze and, who knows, maybe one day you’ll find yourself in an emergency of some sort and you’ll be glad you’ll know who to call in that moment.
Orange Care isn’t the type of app that you will be using 24/7, but when you do need it, you’ll be glad it’s there.
